BUTTING – Quality management

Reliable quality assurance has been a significant part of our corporate philo- sophy since BUTTING's foundation. Throughout the world, BUTTING is a syno- nym for high-quality stainless steel pipes and pipe fittings. Our products must be able to cope with the constraints of constant use under the most demanding conditions, for example in the nuclear power sector and the aerospace industry.

BUTTING's quality assurance system is certified by Germanischer Lloyd according to DIN EN ISO 9001. We hold numerous approvals from other classification societies and third party inspectorates such as Bureau Veritas, DNV, AQUAP, API and BDLI, as well as from well-known customers such as BASF, Infraserv, Shell and STATOIL.

BUTTING has always been the forerunner as regards control and documenta- tion of production results. Already in 1962 we started to gain experience in radiography. Our online radioscopy is state of the art. We are currently setting new standards in ultrasonic testing of austenitic stainless steel pipes.
