BUTTING - NewsSeptember 2010BUTTING – Open Training Day on 26 September 2010
“Get to know your apprentice trade in practice” – this is the motto on Sunday 26 September for the traditional BUTTING Open Training Day, which the apprentices themselves play a major part in designing. On our works site in Knesebeck, interested parties can find out about the 9 courses for apprentices offered by BUTTING, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thus visitors can take a trip round the premises and at the same time get to know the apprentice trades of systems mechanic, precision mechanic, electronics expert, storage logistics expert, materials tester, technical draughtsman It specialist, sales representative and the Sandwich course of studies in technical sales. For example, the apprentice materials testers will use experiments to clearly demonstrate on-site quality assurance as applied to our products. To make it easier for those interested in training to choose their profession, a workshop for young people and their parents will be offered for the first time. Here participants will get tips for their choice of profession and for their application which reflect their own opinions of their knowledge and abilities, along with those of others. In addition, the requirements of the apprentice trades at BUTTING will be presented and compared with the interests of the participants, and an answer will be given as to which apprentice trade suits which type of applicant. To offer the visitors something special, the current apprentices have been rehearsing a play: In a short theatre performance, they wish to present a typical work process, to provide those interested with an overall view of training processes in practice. The play will be performed in the “market square”, where visitors will also be able to get information on the courses offered by the BUTTING Akademie. Here food will also be provided for guests and a bouncy castle will be erected for younger visitors. This year BUTTING is also arranging a special experience for football fans: Visitors can compete for the BUTTING Cup at human soccer. The Open Training Day is also intended to further strengthen the cohesion, respect and team-working abilities of the apprentices and to inspire young people to take up future training with BUTTING. Anyone interested in human soccer and the workshops can register from now on the website www.butting.de or send an e-mail to ausbildung@butting.de.
