Fast availability, a wide choice of sizes (NB 25 up to NB 300) and attractive services characterise our store of the material 1.4539/904L. In recent years we have been able to acquire a comprehensive processing experience in forming, welding and surface technologies using this material.

The low carbon content of material 1.4539 guarantees a resistance to intergranular corrosion in the welded condition. The high chromium-molybdenum content creates a very good resistance to pitting corrosion; and through the nickel content of 24.0 to 26.0 %, combined with the added copper, a good resistance is also achieved against stress corrosion cracking.

In particular, 1.4539 has proved its worth in use for sulphuric acid and phosphorus plants, the fertiliser industry, pulp-making, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and pipeline construction.
